VCE

At Diamond Valley College, students in Years 11 and 12 enter the Senior School, where the focus is on preparing for life beyond school. We encourage students to view their education through the lens of future pathways and career aspirations, supporting them to make informed choices that align with their goals.

Our Senior School offers a range of support services, including:

  • Personalised Course Counselling – Expert guidance in choosing subjects and pathways that reflect individual strengths and career ambitions.
  • Study Support & Wellbeing Services – Access to academic tutoring, wellbeing programs, and practical strategies to manage stress and maintain balance.
  • Careers & Pathways Planning – Advice on university, apprenticeships, and employment, including resume development and interview preparation.

Students undertake a wide variety of VCE subjects and have opportunities to extend their learning through programs designed to support their aspirations and broaden their experiences.

The Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE)

The Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) is the key senior secondary qualification in Victoria. It offers students a broad range of subject choices, helping them prepare for further study, training, or entry into the workforce.

Assessment is based on meeting set outcomes, which may include assignments, projects, and exams. Satisfactory completion of VCE units is determined by the school in accordance with the standards of the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA).
