Student Wellbeing

At Diamond Valley College, student wellbeing is a core priority. Our Wellbeing Centre provides a safe, welcoming space where students can access the support, they need for their mental, emotional, and social health.

We offer a range of services including one-on-one counselling, tailored wellbeing programs, and access to external mental health professionals. Our goal is to help students manage stress, build resilience, and develop strong, healthy relationships. We prioritise a culture of care and take a collaborative approach to support students’ academic achievement and personal growth.

Counselling is provided in a confidential and supportive setting, where students are guided through strategies for emotional regulation, problem-solving, and decision-making. Our team works within a trauma-informed approach, empowering students to face life’s challenges with confidence and self-determination.

We also run specialised programs focused on mindfulness, building on student’s emotional intelligence, and stress management. These initiatives are designed to strengthen resilience, encourage a growth mindset, and foster positive social connections.

Our dedicated wellbeing team includes a wellbeing leader, a mental health practitioner, and Harley, our much-loved emotional support dog. We work closely with families, teachers, and community organisations to provide holistic and personalised support. For added convenience, we offer a direct referral pathway to Elysium Psychology, with appointments available on-site.

We are committed to fostering a safe, inclusive environment where every student can thrive. If your child needs wellbeing support, please contact their sub-school team or reach out to our wellbeing staff directly.
