Junior School

At Diamond Valley College, the Junior Sub-School provides a nurturing and supportive start to secondary education. Our Years 7 and 8 programs are designed to help students settle in quickly, build strong friendships and feel confident in their learning journey.

Transitioning from primary to secondary school is a significant step and we place great emphasis on creating a safe, inclusive and engaging environment where every student feels a sense of belonging. Through caring relationships with teachers and peers, students develop independence, resilience and the skills needed to thrive.

The Junior Sub-School offers a broad curriculum foundation across core subjects while also introducing students to enrichment opportunities and elective pathways. This balance ensures that students can explore their interests, discover new strengths and begin to shape their future learning directions.

Pastoral care is at the heart of our Junior Sub-School. From Home Group sessions and dedicated Year Level Coordinators to the support of our Sub-School Leader, students are guided every step of the way. Wellbeing programs, leadership opportunities and co-curricular activities further enrich their experience, helping students grow into confident learners who are ready for the challenges and opportunities of secondary school.
