Code Club is a lunchtime activity intended to allow students to explore their interest in computing technology at a high level.

Whilst the curriculum at DVC provides students with unique experiences in information technologies and robotics, the club provides a smaller, more focused environment for students to develop computing and technology projects. The intention is for students to drive the group following their own specific interests.

Possible areas of interest include

• app development
• microcontrollers
• robotics
• app development
• gaming

In 2016, Code Club secured a Science Week grant, which supported the development of a robot tank, with remote control and live video streaming to the school intranet.

Code Club is looking forward to the establishment of the DVC makerspace, which will provide purpose-built resources to support these technologies.
