County Court – Ask a Judge Virtual Incursion

Amanda HannUncategorized

Just before lockdown the students of the year 11 Legal Studies class had the opportunity to speak to judges of the County Court.

Students heard from a panel of judges, including the Head of the Common Law Division, on topics related to Civil Disputes. This coincided with the current topics being studied in year 11 Legal Studies.

The students were able to communicate with the judges and put forward multiple questions. This included questions relating to the importance of civil law, the principles of justice, and the role in which civil law plays in resolving disputes in the court system.

This was a unique opportunity for students to connect their studies to a real life setting.
