Congratulations Year 12 2009

 On Wednesday 21st October, the Year 12s were farewelled at a whole school assembly where Dylan Grimes, on behalf of the Year 12 students, spoke of his memories of secondary schooling – many of them quite humorous. The Year 9 Dance class performed for the Year 12 s and the 2010 College Captains expressed best wishes to the Year 12s on behalf of the students. Year 12 students and staff then shared a morning tea in the VCE centre.   The Graduation Ceremony that night at La Trobe University‘s Agora Theatre was a fantastic event. With the theatre filled with family and friends of the students, there was recognition of the achievements of the Year 12 students and graduation certificates were presented. We were joined by Danielle Green, Member of Parliament for Yan Yean, Brett Owen, our School Council President and Samantha Thompson, College Dux in 2008.

Year 12 Design and Technology student Emily Turner's period inspired gown was recently seen at Montsalvat and at the Whittlesea Show, as well as featured in the Diamond Valley Leader. The princess satin ball gown was truly awe-inspiring in its attention to detail. Emily is hoping to get into Whitehouse Institute of Design next year, and used the dress in her interview.

Bushfire assistance

Many families of Diamond Valley College have been affected by the bushfires. At least 30 families have lost their houses or properties. The thoughts of everyone at the college are with these families at this time.
If you are able to assist specifically with items to assist students at the college such as uniform or books please contact the college on 9438 1411.
