| One of the highlights of completing Year 11 & 12 at Diamond Valley College is the formal evening to be held on Wednesday 18 November 2009. The Senior School Formal is an opportunity for students to get together and celebrate the end of the school year. The Formal will be held at the San Remo Ballroom, 365 Nicholson St Carlton North. The function will begin at 7.00pm and conclude at 11.30pm.
All year 11 and 12 students from Diamond Valley College are invited to attend this important event. Year 12 students may bring a partner to the event, providing the partner has also completed the contract and permission form. To ensure that a good time will be had by all, there will be no pass outs.
As this is a formal occasion it is expected that the dress standard will be in line with such a function. A live band and DJ has been engaged for the evening and students and staff are encouraged to wear their dancing shoes. Door and dance prizes will be presented throughout the evening. Mocktails and canapes will be served on arrival followed by a three course meal. Soft drinks will also be provided on the night. A professional photographer has also been booked from 7.00pm to take photographs of individuals, couples and groups. Students who have special dietary requirements are required to note this information on the attached consent form.
This will be an alcohol, smoke and drug free event supervised by College staff and professional security officers. Students in an intoxicated state will not be permitted to enter the function and payment will not be reimbursed. The college does not organize or endorse "after parties". It is our experience that they seriously detract from the purpose of the evening.
The total cost for this function is $75-00 payable to the General Office with the permission form in a clearly labelled envelope by Wednesday 4 November 2009. The form is available to download in the Notices section.
